There will be a variety of Stampin’Up! Hi i know i am a day late but really if i was in the US it would still be Saturday so do you think you could just pretend that for today only and i will upload another peek tonight?
Yesterday i designed 12 cards for next weekend and today i hope to do more again. I then need to make another sample of each and cut the cardstock up for all of you to then recreate them for yourselves.
I need to then make sure i have enough supplies and place an order by Wednesday to make sure they are here by Friday and then pack everything up to take along on Sunday. Yep its going to be a busy week.

This week has been super hectic. both of my children have their birthdays this week. Join me in celebrating the fact that i have no more teenagers. Imogen took her first bottle today which means of course that i will be baby sitting for much longer.
To all the Ballarat Scrapbooking , Cardmaking  and crafting enthusiasts stay tuned for preview of some of the cards I have designed for the FUNDRAISER next Sunday the 5th of October. Hopefully I will get my parcels in time and you will have the opportunity to win great Stampin’Up! products and Chocolates on the day.
Okay so the reason for this post is to make sure that you stay tuned cause come Saturday i will begin the previews.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I have had the absolute best ever week and I am here to share some of it with you. To start with last week I got the official okay to hold my World Cardmaking Day event from the local hospital. We chatted for a bit on what i would be doing and he offered to put out a newsletter to the employees of the hospital which i thought was pretty exciting. I got in touch with the local papers on Monday and they were super helpful, even to proofing an advertisement for me. The phone rang on Tuesday from Stampin’Up! here in Australia with an offer for a box of goodies to give away at my event. This is great as Mars (my place of employ) will be also donating some prizes for the day. Check out this post for details on the fundraising event. With the help of my team here in Ballarat and surrounding areas we are hoping to have a large array of cards to be made.

Now onto the next great thing that happened to me this week. Well I got an email yesterday from Creative Paper asking me to put together a submission for their December issue. This is the first time i have been published except for 3 times in the readers challenge of Stamping and Papercrafts (see this months issue) I thought I was destined to be a readers challenge girl. Anyway I had sent in some projects and they wanted me to change the theme but keep the project and i have until Tuesday to have it in their hot little hands. Its done and going out express tomorrow. I obviously work well under pressure which really surprised me.

I also want to remind you that on the weekend Kristy and myself will be at the Parkinsons Craft expo here in Ballarat

I just love meeting new people at workshops. My hostesses are very special to me and as such they are absolutely spoiled at my workshops. At the weekend i hosted a workshop here in Ballarat and there were 15 guests there. This made  for a very busy day and as such what I had planned to demonstrate didn’t happen. My hostess loved this box and was disappointed about not seeing the demonstration and so  gave it to her as a thankyou along with a lot more too.
along with the spcial hostess it was also one of the guests birthday and i made a special little gift for her and a birthday card which was presented to her at the workshop. I will be demonstrating these 2 boxes at the craft expo in Ballarat this weekend so come along to the stampin’Up! stand and take a look

If you can’t come along then why not contact me and be spoiled yourself just by hostessing your own workshop.
you can earn great hostess only incentive stamp sets just by being spoiled by me and inviting some of your friends and family to enjoy an afternoon or evening of creating.

Oops i almost forgot to get these up for you to view.
I think my favorite colours are the new In Colours for this year. If you have a look at my cardbox there are soooo many cards made with Baroque motifs and the In Colors. Sorry if these are not your cup of tea but my SAS attendees love it too. I have stamped on the ribbon here can you see it? I used the white craft ink.

and Season of Joy. That stamp set is amazing. Always these creations come up perfectly.

I have today added another class to my already filling Schedule. Techniques class was last night and my ladies want to make the Bloomin Beauty Box of cards that I had made for my open house. Aren’t you all lucky now you get to come along and make this gorgeous box of cards for yourselves.

Sorry for the shadow from the door but the lovely lovely sunshine was blazing down through where i take my photos today so no they are not marks on the project.
The Bloomin Beauty box class will be held on the 20th of October, thats a Monday evening at 5.30pm and a 2nd class on Tuesday the 21st of October beginning at 7.00pm. I will only have 4 in a class as this is quite a big project and would take way too long with a large class.
The cost of the class is $40 and there is a deposit of $15 non-refundable to secure your place. You will take home the remaining Designer paper pack valued at over $12.00.
You also make 5 gorgeous matching cards.
Contact me on khunter@vic.chariot.net.au if you are in the Ballarat area and would like to attend this class.
I have 2 booked in already for the 5.30pm class on the Monday night.

WORLD CARDMAKING DAY FUNDRAISER September 12, 2008

As some of you know I was lucky enough to become a grandma for the first time this year back in May. Imogen wasn’t due until late June but she decided to make a very early and very fast entrance into the world.  Mum was certainly not prepared and Dad only just
made it to th hospital as she was crowning. She was born weighing 4lb 13oz and stayed in the isolette for 2 days and was lovingly looked after for a further 10 days in the nursery by the lovely midwives at the Ballarat Health Services Maternity unit. While she was in there they asked Sally if it would be okay for them to take photos of Imogen and use her for a fundraiser the hospital were undertaking to raise money to purchase more specialised equipment for these little new born babies. Some of these like the isolette cost upwards of $20,000 to purchase. Imogens photo is on flyers and brochures that have been sent around to Ballarat businesses to raise these much needed funds. She has been on the front page of the local paper and on the local news such a little celebrity.

This is our little Imogen now at just 4 months. She is a chubby little thing but still petite now weighing in at just over 11pounds. She is laughing, has found her little hands and toes, she sleeps through the night (most nights) and she has just learned who her mum is and is now putting out her arms to go especially to mummy. She is such a sweetie and really without the local hospital and the few isolettes that they have she would have been in Melbourne for the first couple of weeks of her time here and i would have missed those little cuddles i got each night.

Well here is the fundraiser details. I am holding a Card Buffet here in Ballarat on the 5th of October, from 1pm to 5pm at the Lake Wendouree Football Club Rooms.
Entry is by gold coin donation  and you can come along and make as many or as few cards as you like for only $2 each, $1 of which will go to the Ballarat Health Services Maternity Unit Fundraiser.
You will have lots of different designs to choose from and all you have to do is bring along yourself, everything else is supplied.
There will be raffles and a door prize on the day  and afternoon tea will be supplied also.
Some of my team will be helping me out so you will see lots of different card styles. There will be free shipping on all orders placed on the day and our remaining commissions will be given as a donation to the hospital as well.
Simply Sent Kits will be on sale at 20% off the RRP so grab yourself  a bargain on the day and donate to a very worthy cause.

This will be a NON PROFIT day.
The Football ground is located at the back of the swimming pool in Dowling street and the way to get in is by driving along Norman Street and turning into the Netball centre located on the right hand side and driving into the football ground.
Please RSVP me if you are coming so that i can have an idea of numbers.
We look forward to seeing you on the day and hope that we can raise some major funds for the Hospital Maternity Unit.

The Parkinsons Craft Expo is on next weekend the 20th and 21st of September at the Ballarat Secondary College in Fussell Street and Kristy asked me to join with her in promoting the Stampin’Up! business so if you are out and about next weekend and are even just a little interested in Scrapbooking, cardmaking or off the page then come on over and have a browse around and say hello.
I made this little backpack tonight and will have it with me so come over and have a look.

I haven’t updated for a few days but i have a lot coming up so keep coming back for more creations.
Stamp-a-stack is tomorrow night and then techniques night on Friday so there are definately photos of those coming up.
World Cardmaking day is on the horizon and that means a Fundraising event for sure and Paperific is happening pretty soon too.

Its going to be a busy couple of months but i can certainly fit in a workshop if you want one so send me an email and i will contact you back asap.
