High Hopes Snowman November 30, 2007

See I don’t just use Stampin’Up! stamp sets i bought this one from High Hopes in Canada, they are great and their stamps are soooo cute.
Decided to do a sketch challenge on Splitcoast this one is sc152 a nice easy one to start me off. They are great fun and they take you out of your comfort zone and make you design something of your very very very own. Of course I did use the stampin up stamps from Many Merry Messages and festive favorites to complete it and everything else is of course Stampin’Up! but i just loved the way that it turned out.
going to do many many more of these challenges, you should have a go too.
I used my watercolour crayons to colour her and after I had finished and taken the photo i decided it needed some bling so now she actually has glitter on her poinsettia.

You will need: corner rounder, stamp pad of your choice, bone scorer, cardstock, stamp/wheel of your choice, 1 1/4″ and 1 3/8″ circle punches, slit punch, sponge dauber and adhesive
Cut your cardstock 10cm x 17.5cm (i have used very vanilla)
score at 5.5cm and then flip the cardstock over and score at 4.5cm the other end (the smaller end is your top end.
stamp the top of your card with the image you are using( this one I am using the regular wheel Only ornaments and the not quite navy stamp pad)
Using the corner rounder round off the edges of your card once folded
Using the sponge dauber take colour from the stamp pad and sponge the edge of your cardstock
stamp image for your closure and using the 1 1/4″ circle punch cut out image then using matching cardstock cut out circle with the 1 3/8″ circle punch and adhere together
place adhesive at the bottom of the circle closure only and place into position
Using the slit punch punch a slit on each side of the centre of your gift card holder to hold your gift voucher in position
SORRY WILL TAKE COMPLETED PIC TOMORROW THATS NOT BLURRY

I don’t know about you but christmas is coming up way too fast. I think I have most of my christmas cards done but what about gifts. I have a 22 year old and a 19 year old, what do i give them?
well I have come up with the perfect gift a voucher or money for them to spend, do i put it into an card? nope I have made a gift card holder and you can too, if you want me to write a tutorial for this then leave a comment.
I can even make one for you that will fit one of my stampin’up gift vouchers in it for that special somebody.
What about yourself, you are obviously crafty and love stampin’up! otherwise why would you be reading my blog.
Why not leave your catalogue open and your wishlist sitting there for the family to see. Maybe just maybe they will give me a call and order you what you really want instead of that iron you don’t want at all.

Louise built an awesome barn on her property to do quilting classes and that is where i will be on Sunday
these are the cards that those attending will make. 5 of each of the 2 designs, very easy and really lovely in real life.

Yes we will be doing make and takes again this year and we even have a 2 hourly draw of some beautiful handmade card packs.
The P2P organisers will be running their usual hourly prize draws throughout the weekend with some great stamping and scrapbooking prizes donated by stall holders.

The ladies that are attending are a great bunch and very very talented we are all in the same group of SU Demonstrators and have access to some really amazing online Business assistance. Hey everyone the new mini is almost ready to be released and here are the cards I am doing for a swap that I am involved in with the Stampers inc team. My team have access to 2 awesome forums for inspiration and business ideas. A great idea to accumulate samples for workshops is by joining in on the Demo only swaps accessible on these 2 forums and on the Demonstrator web site.
These cards are using the Stem Silhouettes Stamp set, colours are Close to cocoa and Blush blossom. I love this new catalogue and if you would like a copy of it email me at khunter@vic.chariot.net.au. Don’t forget that Sale-a-bration will be on again in Jan/Feb so hold off on your $100 orders and email me during sale-a-bration to receive a free exclusive stamp set.
