No Layers Take the challenge September 29, 2007

I have never tried this but there was a post on SCS about cards with no layers so I have been looking at some of the lovely cards that have been made and of course I had to take up the challenge of making my own card using no layers.
Well this is the outcome and I am quietly impressed with it. I spent the day with Kate one of a group of lovely people that i have regular workshops with. She and I sat down this afternoon and just created it was great to sit down with somebody and a challenge too cause I don’t usually create with people around me. Took a few of my things which was another challenge. really what do I take with me? everything I need is in my craft room and i couldn’t take all that with me.
golly what a day of challenges and BTW the Cats won the footy grandfinal even though I am not into footy thought somone out there may be interested.
Now this is your challenge make a christmas card using NO Layers and leave a comment here with a link to your Card so that I can link back to your card on my blog.

Reverse Masking Tutorial September 28, 2007
Posted by kerri hunter in Tutorials, stampin'Up!.4 comments
to begin with you will need to cut a shape out of a piece of thin paper and use a repositionable adhesive to keep it in place
place into position on your cardstock (I have used glossy white but have also used whisper white and very vanilla) and sponge the inside of the shape (i have used going grey)
Stamp image inside the shape (sorry for the quality of the pic)
take off the mask and your image should look like this
stamp image over the first image and add a sentiment if required
FINISH YOUR CARD.

It’s Sallys Birthday today and she is 22 wow where do the years go, seems only yesterday they were both just born. As you know from the post on Saturday Craig turned 19 and 5 days later its Sallys Birthday, at least i get them over with quickly but boy is it an expensive week especially last year when i had an 18th and a 21st in the same week.
Well this is the card I have made for Sally its using the touch of nature set available from Stampin’Up!. Sal works with race horses and if I had the bareback set I would have used it but i didn’t though i am starting to warm to it very quickly.
